Not only are we here to make you look and feel good; our primary goal is to ensure you have healthy eyes and perfect vision. Our sight test can result in glasses or contact lenses being prescribed if needed, but can also lead to the diagnosis and management of health problems such as diabetes, glaucoma and blepharitis.
TYPES OF TESTS WE OFFER
Comprehensive Eye Test
Our comprehensive sight tests include: vision test, binocular vision test, refractive tests, ocular health tests, fields exam and retinal photography where necessary.
Retinal photography
Retinal imaging takes a digital picture of the back of your eye, helping your optometrist or ophthalmologist find certain diseases and check the health of your eyes.
OCT Scan
Optical coherence tomography creates detailed 2D and 3D images of the eye layers, and is used to investigate diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.
Chromagen Test for Dyslexia & Visual Stress
ChromaGen is a unique system of coloured lenses used for the management of reading disorders such as dyslexia. It can be carried out on children and adults.
Contact Lens Test
The Contact Lens Test is FREE with our Eye Care Plan. If you’re a new contact lens wearer, our test includes the lenses required to complete the trial.
Colour Vision Test
Colour vision screening can detect the three main types of colour defect, sometimes known as colour blindness. It can be required for certain job applications and apprenticeships.
Private Fields Exam
This may need to be done separately from your eye test when applying for jobs in the ambulance service, police force, or if you’re under private healthcare for glaucoma treatment.
CORRS Test
This scheme is free for patients registered at Hull or East Riding GP, at selected accredited opticians. Patients must show certain eye-related problems and symptoms to qualify.
